An efficient negotiator, Mr. Hopkins understands the cost effectiveness of providing craftsmen and expertise specific to each individual client. Skilled in computerized estimating, scheduling and job-cost software programs, he realizes the importance of quality control, documentation and contract auditing.

Key components for the successful completion of construction projects include the implementation of value engineering and client specifications. Maintaining and closely tracking the project schedule always results in cost savings to the Owner. While administering projects from concept to occupation, OCMI acts as liaison between the Client and all parties - including Architects, Government Agencies and General Contractors.

Principal Wade Younie has over 30 years as a consulting engineer in the Portland area.  As a result, he has a great deal of experience with many different project types, including commercial, retail and industrial projects.  Over the years, he has developed a proclivity for seismic retrofit, rehabilitation, structural repairs and historic preservation projects.  This expertise combined with his hands-on project approach and emphasis on teamwork makes him an extremely important asset to us.

This Portland architecture firm has been cultivating enduring relationships with its clients throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 50 years, working jointly to create innovative design solutions.  Partner Bill Bailey is known at Waterleaf as the “code guy”.  His childhood curiosity of how things worked led to a nuanced understanding of technical detail and engineering principles, which, when combined with his clear communication style, enables him to translate complex technical information into understandable terms.

McCann Engineering, Portland

The goal at McCann is to provide services based on sound engineering principles, using innovative concepts along with the latest technologies available to provide a final product of the highest standards for a reasonable cost and meeting their clients’ needs and expectations. Headed by Andrew McCann, he has an average of 30 years’ experience in his field. Preparing site observations and design studies on mechanical projects ranging from 1K-1.5M in size, the team has provided services to Lloyd Center, Starbucks, OHSU, Good Shepard Medical Center and numerous individual clients. Specializing in plumbing and HVAC design, McCann Engineering provides assessment of mechanical system conditions, replacement, long and short term maintenance requirements as well as design/build criteria for OCMI.
