With over 30 years hands-on experience in the building industry, Founder and President David C. Hopkins is proficient in all phases of construction and project management. An efficient negotiator, Mr. Hopkins understands the cost effectiveness of providing craftsmen and expertise specific to each individual client. Skilled in computerized estimating, scheduling and job-cost software programs, he realizes the importance of quality control, documentation and contract auditing.

Adding to its broad knowledge of commercial construction, OCMI has comprehensive experience with EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) removal and replacement. This in-depth awareness of the intricacies of handling large scale tear-off and proper reinstallation of EIFS along with substrate and wall requirements, mold and dry rot remediation, vapor barriers, flashing and sheet metal, sealants and caulking while protecting open and on-going businesses gives OCMI an edge on other general contractors. Understanding manufacturers', EIMA, ICBO and SBCCI criteria as well as, providing proper insurance coverage often excluded from standard general liability policies, ensures our clients the utmost protection. As an associate member of EIMA, OCMI hopes to continue to be pro-active in this emerging field of commercial construction.

Corporate Secretary/Treasurer and Construction Administrator, Donna Fischer, has extensive computer expertise tracking multiple projects utilizing the latest construction software. Familiarity with AutoCAD, along with her eye for detail, positions Donna as an intregal part of the construction team. Prior to becoming a Partner in OCMI, Ms. Fischer worked in this field for over 20 years after dedicating the previous decade to community service. During that time, she earned accolades from The Southland Corporation, Oregon Department of Transportation, JC Penney and the Volunteer Bureau of Portland for her work as a full-time volunteer with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. In addition, Ms. Fischer was a Director of the Oregon Lifebelt Committee and instrumental in the passage of Oregon's groundbreaking mandatory seatbelt law.

Personnel with the certified mechanical engineering firm, McCann Engineering , headed by Andrew McCann , has an average of 23 years experience in their field. Preparing site observations and design studies on mechanical projects ranging from $1,000-$1,500,000 in size, the team has provided services to Lloyd Center, Starbucks, OHSU, Good Shepherd Medical Center and numerous individual clients. Specializing in plumbing and HVAC design, McCann Engineering provides assessment of mechanical system conditions, replacement, long- and short-term maintenance requirements as well as design/build criteria for OCMI .

Wade W. Younie of the structural and civil engineering firm of D'Amato, Conversano, Inc. supports OCMI personnel with his proven expertise in a full range of projects completed throughout the United States.  Mr. Younie’s 20+ years experience includes projects in retail development, seismic evaluation and rehabilitation of existing buildings.
